ParaGeo models can now account for different facies distributed within each sediment formation. This facilitates considering different material properties (e.g. depositional porosity, compressibility, permeability, friction angle, etc.) at different locations within a given formation which may be required for large scale evolutionary models (100s of Km) due to the potential difference in the respective sedimentary environments. Furthermore this has been implemented within our restoration to forward simulation 3D workflow so that facies are represented in both restoration and forward simulation models.
